Welcome to the Brass Monkeys website:
We the organisers welcome you to the 3rd year of the Merida Brass Monkeys Winter ENDURO . A three event series brought to you by Gorrick and the Army, bringing with them once again some outstanding venues chosen for their suitability for enduro mountain bike racing, along with their natural beauty. All the venues have the very best course features that we know you demand, like fast flowing singletrack interspersed with fire track and mixed with enough technical sections to keep you on your toes, coupled with great facilities and easy access. Of course there will be some subtle changes along all of the routes and an improved event experience, just because we listen to you our Riders. Check out the individual round pages for details of categories, prices and times for each round. Each round will have its own prize giving and overall series prizes will be presented at Round 3. CATEGORY AGE: "Your age is determined at Round 3 on 22/01/12" which applies to all rounds. Look forward to all new and tweaked courses for your enjoyment, not forgetting the fantastic support from MERIDA UK in these challenging times who continue to support you the rider with some great new bikes on display for you to have a look at and even have a go on the fantastic BIG NINE. Also as the HEATED MARQUE went down very well last year we have decided to do it again to keep you nice and warm out of the winter weather so you can have a chat with fellow riders in comfort about all things bikes over a nice bit of warm scoff and a hot brew supplied by Quaver Catering. Limit of 500 riders. No on the day entry. Just a note to remind riders that there were a lot of gel and energy bar wrappers littering all the venues throughout the previous series. This is totally unnecessary and could jeopardise your opportunity to ride or race on this exclusive land due to the potential harm to wildlife in the area. We therefore ask that you either put the empties in your pocket, or discard them in one of the designated bins. Thank you. Regular updates will be posted on this page, just to keep you updated on entries. Our sincere thanks goes out to ALL of our sponsors and especially to our headlining sponsor Merida Bikes with whom we could not have made this series as good as it has been so far.
